During my years teaching guitar full time at my London music school, I kept meeting successful professionals stuck at intermediate level for 10, 20, even 30 years.
They had come to me because they were ready to finally invest in themselves and wanted to start play the way they had always dreamed but had kept putting off.
These weren't untalented players.
They could play a recognizable Comfortably Numb.
They knew every scale position.
But ask them to put together an interesting 90-second solo? Complete blank.
